Last night was the first night of Channukah. The kids and I had a nice little celebration. I made latkes, lit the candles and gave them each a little gift. It was a quiet little celebration with the three of us. My husband opted not to take part and hid up in the bedroom playing on the computer. Oh well to each his own, we three had a few minutes of fun and reflection. The kids were most impressed at the flames and how the candles melted. Too cute.

I have to admit the day after Thanksgiving I did manage to get out with the rest of the insane people. Having planned my "commando raid" with my mom I set out. Main stores were Disney (20% off in addition to regular sales prices), Gymboree, and Toys R Us. I decided to go to TRU first.

I should have gone to Gymboree, still kicking myself for that, place was a zoo. I went to the Lego store to decompress and eye a few Star Wars ships I would not mind having. I'm still working on the large Lego X-Wing out in my garage. I hope to post pics soon.


So November has come and gone. And with it so has NaNoWrMo. Sadly I only managed to eek out two chapters and an introduction for the book. Real life has a tendency to get in my way. Next up on the writing palette though is Script Frenzy. This happens in April.

I will be trying to salvage a couple of old scripts I have had sitting around. By salvage I am meaning literally. In one of my moves I had a box of comics and scripts rained on while in what was supposed to be dry storage. Managed to save the comics but the scripts bore the brunt of the moisture. But I dried them out and have kept them up in my character log books. I figure this will be the year to pull them out.
